MAB acted for the successful Defendant in this commercial agency case in which HHJ Simon Brown QC gave judgment last week. A transcript of the judgment can be found on BAILII and the case has been widely reported elsewhere, for example in the All England Reports.

The legal importance of the decision is that it is the first reported authority in which commercial agents and their principals have been found to have a mutual duty of trust and confidence akin to a contract of employment.

I will write a longer post shortly.
