As part of the firm’s Red Nose Day celebrations, Christina Fitzgerald and John Zucker are both sporting their very best pyjamas for the cause. 

Extra credit should be given to John, who, despite scaring the client in his first meeting of the day by turning up in his dressing gown, managed to get an additional donation out of him.  We are not too sure if this was a payment to put his normal clothes back on, but are delighted to add it to the tin!

The evening culminated with an auction on behalf of the charity, raising over £25,000.

Thing is – we decided it would be a huge waste (not to say travesty) to just leave them to die, all alone in the office over Christmas.  As such, we held a sale today and have sold the lot.  Another £265 for Macmillan.

Young Epilepsy is a fantastic charity which helps young people and children who have severe and complex epilepsy and associated neurological conditions.

They raised an impressive total of £240, beating their initial target of £200.

Giga is a leader in the development, manufacture, sale and support of fixed, mobile and transportable satellite earth stations, or sitcom terminals.  Their products are offered in several forms that operate in the most commonly used frequency bands for satellite communications and are used by commercial broadcasters such as Sky, as well as by defence ministries in countries such as the USA.

Chris Lay, the founder of Giga, will stay with the business.

John Zucker led the Matthew Arnold & Baldwin LLP corporate team in what is his first major deal since joining the firm from Roiter Zucker, a boutique pharma law firm, in June of this year. The complex deal involved numerous multi-jurisdictional elements, with Matthew Arnold & Baldwin LLP acting as the international hub from its London offices, working across the US, India and Cyprus.

Zenara is a leader in the nicotine replacement therapy market, producing both chewing gums and lozenges.

 Zenara is being renamed Cambrex Zenara and will see the integration of Cambrex’s active pharmaceutical ingredient and drug delivery capabilities with Zenara’s growing range of formulation and finished dosage products.
