Protection from Harassment claims
Since March of this year, we have seen an increase in claims against banks and other financial institutions arising out of standard debt collection activities including the use of:-
• Debt collection agents.
• Calling/text messaging.
• Reports to the Credit Reference Agencies.
In such cases, the institutions may find themselves the Defendant in proceedings alleging harassment.
We can:-
• Identify those cases which are (and are not) suitable for door stop collections and/or pro-active collections.
• Correct misleading/inaccurate credit reference information.
• Defend claims alleging harassment.
