Our employment and employees’ benefits experts work closely with HR departments in a range of industry and service sectors including sport, construction, transport/logistics, food, property, IT and manufacturing, providing solutions to employment issues and advice on how to prevent problems from arising. The team also advises on the creation of share schemes and benefit plans. We deal with all aspects of employment litigation, regularly representing employers in employment tribunals in defending claims such as unfair dismissal and discrimination, and dealing with issues in the civil courts such as restrictive covenants.
We advise on the employment aspects of corporate and commercial transactions such as acquisitions and outsourcing arrangements, including the application of and practical solutions for dealing with the TUPE Regulations. We also act for senior executives of FTSE-listed organisations and sports personnel, negotiating terms of employment and severance agreements.
